The Ear Bonnet of Shame!
Ha ha ha! I bought Cherry an ear bonnet. Went to "The City" with a friend where they actually *gasp* have tack stores and bought this for all of $10.
I like it, but Cherry looks pretty dumb with the giant pointy ears. I laughed at her, and she was not amused.
Those hoof boots in the picture are our new ones. I'm still breaking them in and deciding how I like them for long-term use, but so far so good. They're Cavallos.
The ear bonnet, now with hemmed ears!I took in the ears a bit so they don't look like pointy devil horns and removed the tassels around Cherry's eyes. Being cheap, there was only one size available, which naturally was a touch too big for Cherry.
I've been using the ear bonnet for every ride, and I really like it. Keeps the nasty little flies out of Cherry's ears and allows her to focus on me.
I'm not sure why I didn't think of this before. Probably because I've always though they looked stupid, but now I enjoy making my horse look silly so I can take pictures of her.
